📖🙏🏻🤲🏻Amazing Lessons from the Dua of Musa عليه السلام 🤲🏻🙏🏻📖

When Musa عليه السلام came back from Mount Toor after meeting الله سبحانه وتعالى and saw his nation indulged in Shirk ,he عليه السلام got very angry ,then the whole command of Allah came to take out 70men from your nation who are the cause of this act.
After obeying Allah’s Command Musa عليه السلام still had a fear in his heart that my nation will face the punishment of Allah then he called upon Allah سبحانه وتعالى and said

قَالَ رَبِّ لَوْ شِئْتَ أَهْلَكْتَهُم مِّن قَبْلُ وَإِيَّايَ ۖ أَتُهْلِكُنَا بِمَا فَعَلَ السُّفَهَاءُ مِنَّا ۖ إِنْ هِيَ إِلَّا فِتْنَتُكَ تُضِلُّ بِهَا مَن تَشَاءُ وَتَهْدِي مَن تَشَاءُ
he said, “My Lord, if You had willed, You could have destroyed them before and me [as well]. Would You destroy us for what the foolish among us have done? This is not but Your trial by which You send astray whom You will and guide whom You will.

🌊Now here comes the Heart ♥️ of Dua 🌊

Musa عليه السلام said

أَنتَ وَلِيُّنَا فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَا ۖ وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ الْغَافِرِينَ

You are our Protector, so forgive us and have mercy upon us; and You are the best of forgivers.

He عليه السلام talked to Allah by saying انت which is a pronoun for the 2cnd person who is present in front of you which means that the fear which Musa عليه السلام had ،was due to His تقوى and due to the consciousness of Allah سبحانه وتعالى that Allah سبحانه وتعالى is الموجود wherever he is ,He was calling upon Allah جلا و علا as if HE عزوجل is right in front of him and he is in conversation with
Allah جلا و علا Just by using the pronoun انت and then he عليه السلام adds up every single person of his Ummah just by using نا in وليُّنا and the reason why Musa عليه السلام called upon Allah جلا وعلا as a ولي Protector and not with any other attribute of Allah سبحانه وتعالى is :

الاعتراف بالانقطاع لعبادة الله تعالى، تمهيداً لمطلب المغفرة والرحمة، لأن شأن الولي أن يرحم مولاه وينصره.

It’s a recognition ,appreciation and acceptance of obeying and worshipping only Allah جلا وعلا and praise and thank HIM عزوجل continuously to seek the Pleasure of Him عزوجل being pleased with him by accepting our Taubah whenever we repent and His Blessings ,because the شأن Grace and Status of a #Guardian_Protector_الولي is to bestow his Mercy,Rehmah upon the one whom He is Guarding ,Protects Him when He is in danger and Helps him through every thick or thin of his life ,that is why Musa عليه السلام used الولي which includes Protection,Mercy& Maghfirah at once SubhanAllah

When Musa عليه السلام said فاغفرلنا it means
‎أي إن أذنبنا فاغفر لنا we have committed sins ya Allah so please forgive us ,it’s actually the acceptance of the sins when you asked for Taubah from Allah سبحانه وتعالى
Then Musa عليه السلام said وارحمنا which means he is saying أي إن أذنبنا thay we have committed sins and we have disobeyed you ya Allah so forgive us and وارحمنا have Mercy upon us from your special Rehmah

The 1st thing Musa عليه السلام has asked for was مغفرة then he asked for Allah’s رحمة ,he should have asked for Rehmah 1st then Maghfirah but why Musa عليه السلام asked for forgiveness 1st ?

Ibn e Aashour ابن عاشور رحمه الله has said something amazing about it he said :

وقدم المغفرة على الرحمة لأن المغفرة سبب لرحمات كثيرة،
The reason why Maghfirah comes 1st and then Rehmah is because asking for forgiveness (Maghfirah) is the cause of the Rehmah of Allah سبحانه وتعالى in Abundance (the benefits of استغفار are also mentioned in Surah Noah in Quran that how Allah جلا و علا bestows the blessings from the and how HE عزوجل opens the doors of skies with provisions and bounties upon those who repent and that seeking forgiveness indeed opens the door of unlimited Rehmah and Blessings of Allah سبحانه وتعالى )

فإن المغفرة تنهية لغضب الله المترتب على الذنب،فإذا انتهى الغضب تسنى أن يخلفه الرضا. والرضا يقتضي الإحسان.
So for sure seeking forgiveness from
Allah جلا و علا will ends the Anger of Allah سبحانه و تعالى which is caused due to our #Sins_disobedience and also due to neglecting the Commands of Allah سبحانه وتعالى ,when anger ends then satisfaction proceeds and satisfaction requires Love,affection and bestowing of Blessings which shows and express the feelings of the one who is being pleased ,that is why Musa عليه السلام said

‎وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ الْغَافِرِينَ
And indeed you O Allah جلا و علا are the best of forgivers

{The word الغافرين is a plural of غافر which means the one who accepts Taubah and Forgives ,it’s an اسم فاعل from غفر which means the act of accepting Taubah & Forgiveness is happening right now,it’s continuous and it is immediate SubhanAllah and the whole sentence انت خيرالغافرين is a حال a state of الله سبحانه وتعالى in this beautiful Dua of Musa عليه السلام }

Ibn e Aashor ابن عاشور رحمه الله said something amazing about خير الغافرين

و{وخيرُ الغافرين} الذي يغفر كثيراً،
It means the One who Forgives always ,which means Allah جلا و علا is extreme in Forgiving the Sins over & over again continuously
وإنما عطف جملة: {وأنت خير الغافرين} لأنه خبر في معنى طلب المغفرة العظيمة،
And it’s the continuation of same Ayah and indeed it is asking for forgiveness in abundance without any limit
فعطف على الدعاء، كانه قيل: فاغفر لنا وارحمنا واغفر لنا جميع ذنوبنا، لأن الزيادة في المغفرة من آثار الرحمة.
It is also a continuation of a Dua so as if it is said : O Allah Please do Forgive us & Bestow your Rehmah-Blessings-Bounties upon us & and we beg you to Forgive all of our sins(major or minor,which we did intentionally or unintentionally) because increased in Taubah will increase the effects ,chances ,ways ,signs to receive the extreme Rehmah of Allah سبحانه وتعالى .

Isn it amazing and mind boggling that the word الولي has embedded the meanings of الغافر (Rehmah,Maghfirah,Protection) .The language of Quran is indeed beyond our comprehension SubhanAllah,we can only take a little drop from it everytime we come to this Ocean 🌊..May Allah give us wisdom through Quran and open our hearts ♥️ and minds to understand His amazing words to the best of our ability ..Ameen Ya Rabb…!
