“Ilah” ” إله” is a heavy word of the Arabic language.
It’s from the word أله/ يأله which means to worship.
Also it means there’s no one is worth to worship but Allah, or/ there’s no actual worship ever been done unless it’s beeing done for Allah.
Another meaning for “Ilah” ” إله” is to find peace in someone, or/ to find contentment in someone, or/ to turn to someone when you are sad or desperate, means in Arabic :
” فزع إلى فلان”
All these definitions for ” Ilah” “إله” means that you are not going to find peace or contentment with anyone but Allah/there’s nothing to be amazed about, but Allah.
Another beautiful meaning for “Ilah” “إله” is that it’s letters in Arabic doesn’t come from the letters: أ-ل-هـ instead, it comes from: و-ل-هـ

“alif/hamza” with letter “waw” to read “وله” means to have intense or desperate love for someone, which it is one of the levels/brands of love.
Back then Arabs used to be obsessed about the 14 levels of love .
Here are some of those levels :
الهوا
-الصبوى
-الشغف
-الوِجد
-الكلف
-العشق
–
–
–
الهيام
As Arabs go through these levels they believe in the last level which is “الهيام” that is not healthy and drives someone insane!
Another level is the one less than that and still healthy is ” الوله ” the kind of love that makes you feel no pain and full fill all your needs , and that is from the origin of the word “Ilah” ” إله” .
“Ilah” ” إله” suggests that God is the most intense love that anyone can even experience!!
