بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم، الحمد لله رب العالمين والصلاة والسلام على نبينا محمد وعلى آله وصحبه أجمعين
قال الله تعالى: يَاأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اذْكُرُوا اللَّهَ ذِكْرًا كَثِيرًا ¤ وَسَبِّحُوهُ بُكْرَةً وَأَصِيلًا ¤ هُوَ الَّذِي يُصَلِّي عَلَيْكُمْ وَمَلَائِكَتُهُ لِيُخْرِجَكُمْ مِنْ الظُّلُمَاتِ إِلَى النُّورِ وَكَانَ بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ رَحِيمًا
Allah The Most High Says: “O you who believe! Remember Allâh with much remembrance. And glorify His Praises morning and afternoon [the early morning (Fajr) and ‘Asr prayers]. He it is Who sends Salât (His blessings) on you, and His angels too (ask Allâh to bless and forgive you), that He may bring you out from darkness (of disbelief and polytheism) into light (of Belief and Islâmic Monotheism). And He is Ever Most Merciful to the believers.” (33:41-43)
قال سبحانه: وَاذْكُر رَّبَّكَ فِي نَفْسِكَ تَضَرُّعاً وَخِيفَةً وَدُونَ الْجَهْرِ مِنَ الْقَوْلِ بِالْغُدُوِّ وَالآصَالِ وَلاَ تَكُن مِّنَ الْغَافِلِينَ
Allah The Glorified says: “And remember your Lord by your tongue and within yourself, humbly and with fear without loudness in words in the mornings, and in the afternoons and be not of those who are neglectful. ” (7:205)
وقال جلَّ شأنه: الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَتَطْمَئِنُّ قُلُوبُهُمْ بِذِكْرِ اللًّهِ الا بِذِكْرِ اللَّهِ تَطْمَئِنُّ الْقُلُوبُ
And He ﷻ said: “Those who believe (in the Oneness of Allâh – Islâmic Monotheism), and whose hearts find rest in the remembrance of Allâh, Verily, in the remembrance of Allâh do hearts find rest.” (13:28)
Morning Supplications – أذكار الصباح
1.) Ayah al-kursi:
اللَّهُ لا إِلَهَ إِلا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ لا تَأْخُذُهُ سِنَةٌ وَلا نَوْمٌ لَهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الأَرْضِ مَنْ ذَا الَّذِي يَشْفَعُ عِنْدَهُ إِلا بِإِذْنِهِ يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ وَلا يُحِيطُونَ بِشَيْءٍ مِنْ عِلْمِهِ إِلا بِمَا شَاءَ وَسِعَ كُرْسِيُّهُ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ وَلا يَؤُودُهُ حِفْظُهُمَا وَهُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيمُ
Allâh! Lâ ilâha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the Ever Living, the One Who sustains and protects all that exists. Neither slumber, nor sleep overtake Him. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on earth. Who is he that can intercede with Him except with His Permission? He knows what happens to them (His creatures) in this world, and what will happen to them in the Hereafter . And they will never compass anything of His Knowledge except that which He wills. His Kursî extends over the heavens and the earth, and He feels no fatigue in guarding and preserving them. And He is the Most High, the Most Great. [al-Baqarah: 02:255]
*Recite this verse once in the morning. (morning in this context = from after you pray Fajr salah until sunrise. Remember this)*
Benefit: “Whoever recites Ayatul Kursi after each Prescribed Salaah, nothing will be standing between him and Paradise except death.”
2.) The three Quls:
قُلْ هُوَ اللهُ أَحَدٌ * اللهُ الصَّمَدُ * لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ * وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ
“Say: He is Allah, who is One. Allah, the Eternal Refuge. He neither begets nor was He begotten, nor is there to Him any equivalent.” [al-Ikhlas 112:1-4]
قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ * مِن شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ* وَمِن شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ * وَمِن شَرِّ النَّفَّاثَاتِ فِي الْعُقَدِ * وَمِن شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ
“Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak, from the evil of that which He created, from the evil of darkness when it settles, from the evil of the blowers in knots (those who practice magic), and from the evil of an envier when he envies.” [al-Falaq 113:1-5]
قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاس * مَلِكِ النَّاسِ * إِلَهِ النَّاسِ * مِن شَرِّ الْوَسْوَاسِ الْخَنَّاسِ * الَّذِي يُوَسْوِسُ فِي صُدُورِ النَّاسِ * مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَ النَّاسِ
“Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind, the Sovereign of mankind, the God of mankind, from the evil of the retreating whisperer (a devil), who whispers evil into the breasts of mankind, from among the jinn and mankind.” [an-Naas: 114:1-6]
*Recite each surah 3x in the morning.*
Benefit: “It will suffice you in all respects.”
3.)
لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ ، وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
“None has the right to be worshipped but Allah alone, Who has no partner. His is the dominion and His is the praise and He is Able to do all things.”
*Recite this 10x in the morning. Also from the Sunnah is to recite the above supplication 100x during the entire day. This is a separate dhikr, so it cannot be included in the 10x which is specific for the morning/evening. So 10x during the morning, and then separately 100x during the day.*
Benefit: “he will have (a reward) equal to freeing a slave among the sons of Isma’il, ten bad deeds will be erased from (his record), he will be raised (in status) ten degrees, and he will have protection against Satan until evening comes. When evening comes, (if he says likewise) he will have the same until morning comes.”
4.)
أَصْبَحْنَا وَأَصْبَحَ الْمُلْكُ لِلّهِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلّهِ ، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحَدْهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ ، ربِّ أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَ مَا فِي هَذَا الْيَومِ وَخَيْرَ مَا بَعْدَهُ ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا فِي هَذَا الْيَومِ وَشَرِّ مَا بَعْدَهُ ، رَبِّ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْكَسَلِ ، وَسُوءِ الكِبَرِ ، رَبِّ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابٍ فِي النَّارِ وَعَذَابٍ فِي الْقَبْرِ
“We have entered upon the morning and and the dominion belongs to Allah, all the praise is for Allah, there is nothing worthy of worship except for Allah, He is alone having no partner, to Him belongs the dominion and to Him belongs the praise and He is Able to do all things. My Lord, I ask you for the good that is in this day and the good that will come after it, and I seek refuge in You from the evil in this day and the evil that will come after it, My Lord I seek refuge in You from laziness and the hardships of old age , and I seek refuge in Your from the punishment of the Hellfire and the punishment in the grave.”

(5.)
اللَّهُمَّ بِكَ أَصْبَحْنَا ، وَبِكَ أَمْسَيْنَا ، وَبِكَ نَحْيَا ، وَبِكَ نَمُوتُ وَإِلَيْكَ النُّشُورُ
“O Allah, by You we enter the morning and by You we enter the evening, by You we live and and by You we die, and to You is the Final Return”.
*Read once in the morning.*
6.)
اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّي لّا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ ، خَلَقْتَنِي وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ ، وَأَنَا عَلَى عَهْدِكَ وَوَعْدِكَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُ ، أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا صَنَعْتُ ، أَبُوءُ لَكَ بِنِعْمَتِكَ عَلَيَّ ، وَأَبُوءُ بِذَنْبِي فَاغْفِر لِي ، فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ
“O Allah, You are my Lord, there is none worthy of worship but You. You created me and I am Your slave. I am upon Your covenant and Your promise to the best of my ability. I seek Your Protection from the evil that I have done. I admit to Your blessings upon me, and I admit to my sins. So forgive me, for no-one forgive sins but You.”
*Recite once in the morning.*
Benefit: If somebody recites it during the day with firm faith in it, and dies on the same day before the evening, he will be from the people of Paradise, and the same for the one who reads it at night.
7.)
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا ، وَرِزْقًا طَيِّبًا ، وَعَمَلاً مُتَقَبَّلاً
“O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, goodly provision and acceptable deeds”.
Read once in the morning*
8.)
حَسْبِيَ اللهُ لَآ إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ، عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَهُوَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيم
“Allah is sufficient for me. There is none worthy of worship, but Him. I have placed my trust in Him and He is the Lord of the Majestic Throne.”
*Read 7x in the morning*
Benefit: Allah will suffice him anything that concerns him from the matters of this world or the next
9.)
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْعَافِيَةَ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ ، اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْعَفْوَ وَالْعَافِيَةَ فِي دِينِي وَدُنْيَايَ ، وَأَهْللِي وَمَالِي ، اللَّهُمَّ اسْتُرْ عَوْرَاتِي ، وَآمِنْ رَوْعَاتِي ، اللَّهُمَّ احْفَظْنِي مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَيَّ ، وَمِنْ خَلْفِي ، وَعَنْ يَمِينِي ، وَعَنْ شِمَالِي ، وَمِنْ فَوْقِي ، وَأَعُوذُ بِعَظَمَتِكَ أَنْ أُغْتَالَ مِنْ تَحْتِي
“O Allah, I ask Thee for security in this world and in the Hereafter: O Allah! I ask Thee for forgiveness and security in my religion and my worldly affairs, in my family and my property. O Allah, conceal my faults and preserve me from anguish. O Allah, guard me from what is in front of me and behind me, from my left and from my righ, and from above me. I seek refuge in Your Greatness from being struck down from beneath me.”
*Read once in the morning*
Benefit: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) never failed to utter these supplications in the evening and in the morning.
10.)
اللَّهُمَّ فَاطِرَ السَّماوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ عَالِمَ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ ، رَبَّ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَمَلِيكَهُ ، أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ ، أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ نَفْسِي ، وَمِنْ شَرِّ الشَّيْطَانِ وَشِرْكِهِ ، وَأَنْ أَقْتَرِفَ عَلَى نَفْسِي سُوءاً ، أَوْ أَجُرَّهُ إِلَى مُسْلِمٍ
“O Allah, Originator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of the unseen and evident, Lord of everything and its Possessor, I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but You. I seek refuge in You (O Allah) from the evil of my soul and from the evil of the devil and his helpers/shirk/plots. I seek refuge in You (O Allah) from bringing evil upon my soul and from harming any Muslim.”

11.)
بِسْمِ اللهِ الَّذِي لَا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاءِ ، وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ
“In the Name of Allah, Who with His Name nothing can cause harm neither in the earth nor in the heavens, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.”
*Read 3x in the morning*
Benefit: The one who says it, he will not suffer sudden affliction till the morning, and if anyone says this in the morning, he will not suffer sudden affliction till the evening.
12.)
يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّومُ ، بِرَحْمَتِكَ أَسْتَغِيثُ ، أَصْلِحْ لِي شَأْنِي كُلَّهُ ، وَلَا تَكِلْنِي إِلَى نَفْسِي طَرْفَةَ عَيْنٍ
“O Ever living One, Oh Eternal One, by Your Mercy I call on You to set right all my affairs. Do not place me in charge of my soul for even the blinking of an eye.”
*Read once in the morning*
13.)
أَصْبَحْنَا عَلَى فِطْرَةِ الْإِسْلَامِ ، وَعَلَى كَلِمَةِ الْإِخْلَاصِ ، وَعَلَى دِينِ نَبِيِّنَا مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَى اللهُ عَلِيهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَعَلَى مِلَّةِ أَبِينَا إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، حَنِيفَاً مُسْلِماً وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ
“We have entered a new day upon the natural religion of Islam, the word of sincere devotion, the religion of our Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), and the faith of our father Ibrahim. He was upright (in worshiping Allah) and a Muslim. He was not of those who worship others besides Allah.”
*Read once in the morning.*
14.)
رَضِيْتُ بَاللهِ رَبّاً وَبِالْإِسْلَامِ دِيْناً وَبِمُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَبِيّاً
“I am pleased with Allah as my Lord, with Islam as my religion and with Muhammad as my Prophet.”
*Read once in the morning*
Benefit: The Prophet (ﷺ) says that whoever says this dhikr in the morning, then he will be responsible for taking this person by his hand until he is entered into Paradise.
15.)
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ
“Glory is to Allah and all Praise is to Him” or “Allah is free from all imperfection and to Him is all Praise.”
*Read 100x in the morning.*
Benefit: Saying it 100x expiates your sins even if it be as much as the foam upon the ocean, and no one will come with anything better that it on Yawmal Qiyamah except the one who has done -the same as him, or increased upon it.
16.)
سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ ، عَدَدَ خَلْقِهِ ، وَرِضَا نَفْسِهِ ، وَزِنَةَ عَرْشِهِ ، وَمِدَادَ كَلِمَاتِهِ
“How perfect Allah is and I praise Him by the number of His creation and His pleasure, and by the weight of His throne, and the ink of His words.”
*Read 3x in the morning.*
Benefit: these four phrases are better than a few hours of adhkaar
17.)
اللّهُـمَّ عَافِـنِي فِي بَدَنِـي اللّهُـمَّ عَافِـنِي فِي سَمْـعِي، اللّهُـمَّ عَافِـنِي فِي بَصَـرِي، لَا إلهَ إلاّ أَنْـتَ
اللّهُـمَّ إِنِّـي أَعُـوذُبِكَ مِنَ الْكُـفْرِ وَالْفَـقْرِ ، وَأَعُـوذُبِكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَـبْرِ ، لَا إلهَ إلاّ أَنْـتَ
“O Allah, make me healthy in my body. Oh Allah preserve for me my hearing. Oh Allah preserve for me my sight. There is none truly worthy of worship but You. Allah I seek refuge in You from disbelief and poverty and I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave. There is none truly worthy of worship but You.”
*Read 3x in the morning.*
18.)
أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْه
“I seek Allah’s forgiveness, and to Him I repent.”
*Read 100x a day or more, this is not limited to the morning only*
Proofs:
1.) i.) Abu Umamah (May Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Whoever recites Ayatul Kursi after each Prescribed Salaah, nothing will be standing between him and Paradise except death.”
[Narrated by an-Nasai’ in Sunan al-Kubra (9928), and authenticated by al-Albani in Silsilah as-Saheehah (2/698) no. 97. Ibn Kathir said in his Tafsir (1/676): The Isnad is according to the conditions of Bukhari. Ibn Hajr mentioned that it is authentic, see Nata’ij al-afkar: (2/281)]
ii.) Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) entrusted me with the task of looking after the Zakaat of Ramadaan. Someone came to me and started to scatter the food about, so I grabbed hold of him and said, ‘I will take you to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)!’… He (that intruder) said: ‘When you go to your bed, recite Aayat al-Kursi, then there will stay with you a protector from Allah, and no shaytaan (devil) will approach you until morning comes.’ The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, ‘He spoke the truth even though he is a liar; that was a shaytaan.’”

2.) i.) Abdullah bin Khubayb (May Allah be pleased with him) said: “We became thirsty and it had become dark while we were waiting for the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) to lead us in Prayer. Then when he came out, he took me by my hand and said: ‘Say’. I was silent. Then he (ﷺ) said again, ‘Say’, so I said, ‘What should I say?’ He said: ‘Say, He is Allah, who is One’ and the two Surahs of refuge (al-Falaq and an-Nas) when you enter upon the evening and the morning three times (each). They will suffice you against everything.”
[Abu Dawud (4421) , at-Tirmithi (3528), an-Nasa’i (5361) Classified as Hassan by al-Albani]
ii.) Uqbah bin ‘Aamir (May Allah be pleased with him) said: “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) has commanded me to recite al-Mu’awithaat at the end of every prayer.”
[Abu Dawud (1523), an-Nasa’i (1336), Musnad (4/155), Authenticated by al-Albani in Sahih Abi Dawood]
iii.) Abdullah ibn Khubayb (May Allah be pleased with him) said, “The Messenger of Allah(ﷺ) said to me, ‘Recite, “Say: He is Allah, One,” and the Surahs of seeking refuge in the evening and the morning three times, it will be enough to protect you in respect of everything.’”
[Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi who classified it as authentic, see Riyad as-Saliheen: Book 16, Hadith 1456. Sh al-Albani said it is Hasan in Sahih at-Tirmidhi]
3.) i.) Whoever recites this in the morning, will have the reward of freeing a slave from the Children of Isma’il. Ten Hasanaat (rewards) will be written for him, and he will be forgiven ten misdeeds, raised up ten degrees, and be protected from Satan until evening. Whoever says it in the evening will have the same reward until morning.
[Abu Dawud (4/319), (3/957), Ahmad (4/ 60), Ibn Majah (2/331), Ibn Al-Qayyim Zad al-Ma’ad (2/388). Its chain of transmission is sound (Sahih). Al-Albani 1/270.]
4.) Narrated by ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Umar (May Allah be pleased with them) that the Messenger of Allah(ﷺ) used to recite the following du’aa’ in the evening: “…the above du’aa’, and he used to recite the same in the morning.”
[See Riyad as-Saliheen: (Book 16, Hadith 1455), Saheeh Muslim (4906/4906)]
5.) It was narrated from Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) that:
the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “In the morning say: Allahumma bika asbahna, wa bika amsayna, wa bika nahya, wa bika namut (O Allah, by Your leave we have reached the morning and by Your leave we reach the evening, and by Your leave we live and by Your leave we die). And when evening comes, say: Allahumma bika amsayna, wa bika asbahna, wa bika nahya, wa bika namut, wa ilaykal-masir (O Allah, by Your leave we have reached the evening and by Your leave we reach the morning, and by Your leave we live and by Your leave we die, and unto You is our return).”
[Abu Dawud (5068), at-Tirmidhi (3391), Ibn Majah (3868)]
6.) This dua’ is known as “Sayyidul Istighfaar” or the Master supplication of seeking forgiveness. Allah’s Messenger(ﷺ) said about it: “Whoever recites it in the daytime with full conviction when he recites it, then dies that day before entering upon the evening he will be from the People of Paradise, and whoever recites it in the evening with full conviction when he recites it; then he dies before entering upon the morning he will be from the People of Paradise.”

7.) It was narrated from Umm Salamah that when the Prophet (ﷺ) performed the Subh (morning prayer), while he said the Salam, he would say:
‘Allahumma inni as’aluka ‘ilman nafi’an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa ‘amalan mutaqabbalan (O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, goodly provision and acceptable deeds).’”
[Ibn Majah (915), Musnad of Ahmad (26120)]
8.) Narrated ibn as-Sunni, from Abi Ad-darda (May Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Whoever recited (the above du’aa) 7 times in the morning and in the evening, Allah will suffice him anything that concerns him from the matters of this world or the next.”
[It was narrated Marfoo’an and Mawqoofan, and authenticated by Shaykh al-Albani in (ad-Da’eefah) number (5286) mawqoofan from Abi ad-Dardaa, and ibn Baaz (Majmoo‘ Fataawa Ibn Baaz, 26/65. Also see Fiqh al-Ad’iyah wal Adhkaar by Shaykh Abdur Razaq al-Badr, pg: 496]
9.) Ibn ‘Umar (May Allah be pleased with them) said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) never failed to utter these supplications in the evening and in the morning: “..the above du’a..”
[Ahmed (4644), Abu Dawood (5074), an-Nasai’ (7653 and 9951), Ibn Majah (3869). It was classified as Saheeh by al-Hakim, ibn Hibban and al-Albaani]
10.) Narrated Abu Hurairah that Abu Bakr (May Allah be pleased with them) said: “Oh Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), teach me few words I should recite in the morning and evening. He said: “Say (the above du’aa), in the morning, in the evening and when you go to bed.”
[Ahmed (7762), Abu Dawood (5067), at-Tirmidhi (3529), ad-Daarimi (2606) and was classified as saheeh al-Albani in Sahih Abi Dawud]
11.) Aban ibn Uthman said: I heard Uthman ibn Affan (May Allah be pleased with them) say: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: If anyone says three times: “In the name of Allah, when Whose name is mentioned nothing on Earth or in Heaven can cause harm, and He is the Hearer, the Knower” he will not suffer sudden affliction till the morning, and if anyone says this in the morning, he will not suffer sudden affliction till the evening.
Aban was afflicted by some paralysis and when a man who heard the tradition began to look at him, he said to him: Why are you looking at me? I swear by Allah, I did not tell a lie about Uthman, nor did Uthman tell a lie about the Prophet (ﷺ), but that day when I was afflicted by it, I became angry and forgot to say them.

Imam Al-Qurtubi (May Allah have Mercy on him) reported a similar story, he stated: “Since I heard this narration, I have acted upon it and nothing has harmed me until I left it off. When I left it off, I was stung by a scorpion in the city at night, and I remembered that I forgot to seek refuge in Allah with those words.”
12.) It was a habit not to sleep after Fajr, so when Rasulullah (ﷺ) went to see his daughter Fatima (May Allah be pleased with her) after Fajr, she had gone back to sleep. So he (ﷺ) woke her and asked her why she had gone back to sleep. She replied that it was because she had not slept well. So the Prophet (ﷺ) replied as narrated by Anas bin Malik (May Allah be pleased with him): “What is preventing you from listening to my advice? Keep saying in the morning and the evening: (the above du’aa).”

13.) Narrated Abdur-Rahman ibn Abzah (May Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) used to say: “…(the above du’aa)…”

14.) Narrated by al-Munaydhir (May Allah be pleased with him), the companion of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), where he said: I heard he Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: “Whoever reaches the morning and says ‘I am pleased with Allah as my Lord, Islam as me religion and Muhammad as my Prophet’, then I am responsible to take him by his hand until he is entered into Paradise.”

15.) i.) Narrated Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him): Allah’s Apostle said (ﷺ), “Whoever says, ‘Subhan Allah wa bihamdihi,’ one hundred times a day, will be forgiven all his sins even if they were as much as the foam of the sea.”

ii.) Abu Hurayrah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “On the Day of Rising no one will bring anything better than someone who says in the morning and evening, ‘Glory be to Allah and by His praise’ a hundred times except someone who says the same as he says or more.”

16.) Juwairiyah bint Al-Harith (May Allah be pleased with her) reported, the Mother of the Believers:
The Prophet (ﷺ) came out from my apartment in the morning as I was busy in performing the dawn prayer. He came back in the forenoon and found me sitting there. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “Are you still in the same position as I left you.” I replied in the affirmative. Thereupon the Prophet said, “I recited four words three times after I had left you. If these are to be weighed against all you have recited since morning, these will be heavier. These are: Subhan-Allahi wa bihamdihi, ‘adada khalqihi, wa rida nafsihi, wa zinatah ‘arshihi, wa midada kalimatihi [Allah is free from imperfection and I begin with His praise, as many times as the number of His creatures, in accordance with His Good Pleasure, equal to the weight of His Throne and equal to the ink that may be used in recording the words (for His Praise)].” (he repeated the words three times)

17.) Narrated by AbdirRahman ibn Abi Bakrah (May Allah be pleased with him): that he said to his father, Oh my father, I hear you recite this du’aa every morning and evening. The father replied: “I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) supplicating with these words and I love to follow his Sunnah.”

18.) It was narrated from al-Agharr al-Muzani (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “I ask Allah for forgiveness one hundred times a day.”
