When Imam Hasan (R.A) was born, the Prophet ﷺ was very happy. He recited the Adhan in his ear and named him Hasan, a name that was not common among Arabs before Islam.
🌟 Fazail (Virtues) of Imam Hasan (R.A)
1️⃣ Leader of the Youth of Paradise
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Hasan and Husayn are the leaders of the youth of Paradise.”

2️⃣ Beloved of the Prophet ﷺ
The Prophet ﷺ loved him deeply and said:
“O Allah! I love him, so You also love him.”

3️⃣ From Ahlul Bayt
Imam Hasan (R.A) is among the Ahlul Bayt mentioned in the verse of purification (Qur’an 33:33).
4️⃣ One of the People of the Cloak (Hadith al-Kisa)
He was among the five holy personalities included in the event of Kisa.
5️⃣ Extremely Generous (Kareem Ahlul Bayt)
He is known as Kareem Ahlul Bayt because of his great generosity.
It is reported he gave away his entire wealth in the way of Allah more than once.
📖 Important Waqiyat (Events) from His Life
1️⃣ Treaty with Muawiyah R.A
After the martyrdom of his father, Imam Ali , Imam Hasan became Caliph.
To prevent bloodshed among Muslims, he made a peace treaty with Muawiyah (661 CE).
This showed his wisdom and concern for unity in the Ummah.
2️⃣ His Patience and Forgiveness
A man from Syria once insulted him publicly. Imam Hasan (R.A) responded with kindness and offered him help. The man later apologized and became his admirer.
3️⃣ His Martyrdom
- Date: 28 Safar, 50 AH (670 CE)
- He was poisoned (according to many historical reports).
- He is buried in Jannat al-Baqi, Madinah.

🕌 Relationship of Imam Hasan ibn Ali (R.A) with the Sahaba
Imam Hasan had deep and respected relations with many Sahaba (companions) of the Prophet ﷺ. Being the beloved grandson of Muhammad ﷺ, he was honored and loved by them.
🤍 1️⃣ With His Grandfather – The Prophet ﷺ
The strongest and most loving relationship was with the Prophet ﷺ himself.
- The Prophet ﷺ used to carry him on his shoulders.
- He said: “Hasan and Husayn are the leaders of the youth of Paradise.”
- He also said: “O Allah, I love him, so You love him.”

Many Sahaba witnessed this love and respected Imam Hasan because of it.
🛡 2️⃣ With His Father – Ali ibn Abi Talib (R.A.)
Imam Hasan (R.A) was very close to his father.
- He supported him during his Khilafah.
- He stood by him during difficult times like the events of Jamal and Siffin.
- After the martyrdom of Imam Ali (R.A.), Imam Hasan (R.A) became Caliph.
🌿 3️⃣ With Abu Bakr (R.A.)
- Abu Bakr (R.A.) loved Imam Hasan (R.A) and respected him greatly.
- It is reported that he used to carry Hasan (R.A) on his shoulders and say: “May my father be sacrificed for you, you resemble the Prophet, not Ali.”

🌙 4️⃣ With Umar ibn al-Khattab (R.A.)
- Umar (R.A.) gave Imam Hasan (R.A) a high status.
- During his Khilafah, he included Hasan (A.S.) among those receiving a high stipend from Bayt al-Mal.
- He treated him with respect because he was from Ahlul Bayt.
📖 5️⃣ With Uthman ibn Affan (R.A.)
- Imam Hasan defended Uthman (R.A.) during the siege of his house.
- Historical reports mention that Hasan tried to protect him from attackers.
⚖ 6️⃣ With Muawiyah (R.A)
- There were political differences.
- To avoid bloodshed, Imam Hasan (R.A) made a peace treaty with Muawiyah in 661 CE.
- This act showed wisdom and concern for Muslim unity.
🌟 His Status Among the Sahaba
- All major Sahaba recognized him as part of Ahlul Bayt.
- He was respected for his knowledge, piety, patience, and generosity.
- Many companions narrated hadith about his virtues.
