Miracles of Quran- BRAIN FUNCTION

For centuries it was thought that the frontal part of the human brain handled vision (simply because it is near the eyes). Today we know that this part handles speech, not vision. The part that handles vision turned out to be at the rear of the brain (see image).

The Qur’an says;
“No Indeed; surely, if he gives not over, We shall seize him by the forelock, a lying, sinful forelock!”
(96:15-16)

This is from the first Surah that was revealed to the Prophet Muhammed (peace and blessings be upon him), and the original theme was Allah the Almighty speaks of Abu Jahl (an inveterate enemy of Islam, who used to insult prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) and his followers).

Allah The Almighty tells us how the forelock, the prefrontal area of the brain, controls lying and sin.

It is understood that in the realm of anatomy and physiology is the center for motivation to cause movement and aggression. As stated in the text, “Essentials of Anatomy and Physiology” by Rod Seeley. If this area of the brain causes motivation and aggression it will then definitely trigger sin and lying because these results are simply by-products of motivation and aggression.

Now back to Islam. The Quran is truly the divine words of The Almighty, because 1400 years ago the capability of this type of scholarly research and analysis in science was unfathomable. So yet another discovery of the miracles of the Quran.

“Truth has (now) arrived, and Falsehood perished: for Falsehood is (by its nature) bound to perish.”
